CNY Fiber Arts Festival

From Animals to Art

Family-friendly festival with children's activities, workshops, demonstrations, free lectures, sheep shearing, fiber animals, and over 100 vendor booths under cover with handmade products from natural fibers. June 8 - 9 at Butternut Hill Campground.

Just 45 minutes from Syracuse in a lovely rural setting, the festival showcases the work of fiber farmers and artists.  Over 100 vendor booths, under cover, feature handmade products such as yarn, roving, clothing, felted items, woven items, other works of art, and fiber art supplies.  A children’s tent offers free crafts, games, and educational activities for our young visitors.  Friendly farm animals are on display throughout the festival.  Always popular is the demonstration of sheep shearing, which can be viewed on both days of the festival.  Spinning guild members offer demonstrations and host a Wheel Corral, where visitors can try spinning on different types of wheels.  Food vendors sell delicious treats, and live music enhances the festival atmosphere.
